About Us

What is Rotary ?

Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired men and women of all ages, backgrounds and work experience, united worldwide, who translate their passions into relevant social causes, to change lives in communities.

Made up of over 1.4 million Rotary members – known as Rotarians – in 34,000 Rotary clubs in 200 countries and geographical areas around the world, Rotary International forms a global network of business, professional and community leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve communities locally and around the world – and form strong, lasting friendships in the process.

In the UK the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I), as the name suggests, is the association of Rotary clubs within England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, comprising of over 53,000 members.

Rotary clubs are based within local communities, with their members meeting on a regular basis to enjoy friendship, networking, and to plan projects that will benefit the lives of others. We depend on the skills, expertise and dedication of their members and we welcome people from the local community, other charities, business leaders or retired professionals.

Our Club

We’re a club of  men and women from the Chipping Campden district. Members live in Chipping Campden and the surrounding villages, like Broadway, Mickleton, Weston-Sub-Edge, Toddington, Hidcote Boyce and more.

We meet every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month at the Cotswold House Hotel with a mix of business meetings where we discuss and vote on fund raising activities, hold a raffle, enjoy a meal together and as well as informal social evenings.

We are always looking for additional new, vibrant & enthusiastic members. Joining Rotary is really worthwhile and enjoyable, we have a good time socially and we spend time fund-raising for the community both local and internationally. Please look round our website to find out more about what we do, including up-to-date information about our meetings and how we use the donations we raise.

There is no specific commitment needed, any time is appreciated as we recognise the pressures of modern life especially if you are still working; anyone over 18 can join.

If you’re interested in joining Chipping Campden & District Rotary Club, please make contact and we will arrange for you to visit to see how we work.
